JD40 rotary joints

JD40 rotary joint is a key sealing component in industrial fluid transmission systems, usually referring to a rotary connection device with a diameter of DN40 (or corresponding British caliber). As a transitional sealing device that transports fluid media (such as water, steam, hydraulic oil, thermal oil, compressed air, etc.) from static pipelines to dynamic rotating or swinging equipment

  • mediumwater, hot-oil, air, water vapor
  • Operating Temperature≤180℃
  • work pressure≤1.6MPa
  • maximum speed450-1500 rpm

JD40 rotary joints Information

JD40 rotary joint is a key sealing component in industrial fluid transmission systems, usually referring to a rotary connection device with a diameter of DN40 (or corresponding British caliber). As a transitional sealing device that transports fluid media (such as water, steam, hydraulic oil, thermal oil, compressed air, etc.) from static pipelines to dynamic rotating or swinging equipment, the JD40 series plays a core role in various manufacturing industries.

rotary joints

The design of JD40 rotary joint focuses on durability, sealing and easy maintenance, with main features including:
Precision bearing support: Two precision bearings are usually installed inside to ensure smooth, sturdy and flexible operation, reduce wear coefficient, and thus support high-speed operation.
High performance sealing components:
Sealing surface material: High wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant materials such as silicon carbide, ceramics, graphite, or tungsten carbide are commonly used. For example, a balanced seal design can minimize seal load and wear.
Auxiliary sealing: Use O-rings, V-rings, or high-temperature resistant corrugated pipes to adapt to different temperature and pressure conditions.
Shell and connection:
Material: The shell is mostly made of aluminum alloy, cast steel or stainless steel, with lightweight or high-strength corrosion resistance characteristics.
Connection method: Two main forms are provided: threaded connection (note that the rotation direction of the inner and outer pipe threads should correspond to the rotation direction) and flange connection.
Visualization and maintenance design: The shell is usually equipped with oil nozzles and observation holes for regular lubrication of bearings and visual inspection of the wear condition of sealing surfaces. Some models support non-stop replacement of seals
